This article tells us more about the food we eat that is causing global warming. One will think that what we eat, beef, is not affecting the earth, but actually, it does. As the article stated, before eating the beef, before the nice tasty beef is serve to us, it has gone through processes which produces carbon dioxide which is a gas that is trap in the atmosphere, and it causing global warming. According to Ulf Sonesson of the Swedish Institute for Food and Biotechnology in Goteborg, Sweden, the process of making a one half-pound all-beef burger adds the equivalent (made up of other greenhouse gases) of about 19 times that hamburger’s weight in carbon dioxide. If we cut down on eating beef, carbon dioxide will be reduce, global warming too. Other kinds of meat like chicken and pork is less harmful to the environment, as comparing the amount of gases given out to beef. Eating vegetables is better and healthy. To grow and eat a pound of potatoes, for example, sends less than one quarter-pound of carbon dioxide or equivalent warming gases into the air.

What can we possibly do to stop this or to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide being release from meat, beef?

We can eat less meat, beef, and eat more healthy choice vegetables. Not many people know about this news, so we can help with spreading this around, and telling people that eating beef is harming the earth, environment, so we should be considerate, reduce eating beef, do not eat beef at all. Eat less meat is also healthy and bring less harm to yourself. Eating more vegetables, you will feel that your life has lightened up, and you feel healthier, mentally.
