  Eclipses
This article is about the solar eclipses. A solar eclipse occurs when moon passes between the sun and the earth so that the sun is covered. There are a total of four types of eclipses. A total eclipse occurs when the sun is totally obscured by the moon. An annular eclipse occurs when the moon only covers a small part of the sun. A hybrid eclipse transitions between a total and annular eclipses which rarely occur. A partial eclipse occurs when the sun is partially obscured by the sun as the moon, earth and sun is not in a line. The recent solar eclipse happened on the 22 July 2009. It was a total eclipse. Since the sun is much larger and further from the moon, this makes the moon and the sun appears roughly the same size in the sky. When the moon orbit about the earth happens to be between the sun and the earth, an eclipse will occur.

From this article, I have learnt about the cause and the different types of eclipses.
I think that the happening of eclipse was actually quite amazing as a bright morning would suddenly become dark when an eclipse happens.
